North West District
North West District is a member of BC Hockey. The NWD encompasses all minor hockey in North West British Columbia. Which include Vanderhoof to Prince Rupert.
North West District fosters, improves and encourages amateur hockey, sportsmanship and good citizenship in the North West District of the Province of British Columbia. It assists with the formation of leagues and organizes league competition within the North West Minor Hockey Association District. Our district has two leagues Representative and Recreational for Integrated and/or Female teams. NWD has district teams at Bantam and Pee Wee levels and a Female Program.
NWDMHA establishes, maintains and assists in the general care, supervision and direction of all minor associations and leagues who are members of this Association; and assists all others interested in amateur hockey. We provide guidance and formulate an effective hockey program. NWDMHA maintains a uniform set of playing rules as laid down by the Canadian Hockey Association, and amendments covered by the British Columbia Amateur Hockey Association, or covered by the North West District Minor Hockey Association.
NWDMHA publishes their Constitution, By-Laws and Regulations (pdf) (“NWD Handbook”) each year. This book contains information on the NWDMHA constitution, by-laws, and regulations along with other information on the various member associations.
